Jarno Malonzo
Jarno is an aspiring filmmaker. He practices directing, editing, and cinematography, career paths which he wishes to pursue in the very near future. Lugud is the first short film that he has written and directed. He also honed his craft in theater lighting design in his collegiate years. He explored his career in film with his internships in the QCinema Short Film, “Refrain,” in 2024 and Cutaway Productions in 2025. Being exposed to a professional setting has opened his world to new possibilities. He has also worked with several student productions in his university that has helped him hone his craft of his art. He was also a recipient of FDCP's Student Film Assistance Program for Cycle 2 of 2025. While he has yet to learn more about the industry, he hopes that Lugud will open new doors for him in the world of filmmaking. Through his films, he wants to remind us all that pain is not a weakness, but a reminder of our humanity.
