Synopsis: Kwentong Barado follows three decloggers in Barangay Concepcion, Malabon City, whose daily work exposes the unseen consequences of everyday waste. In a flood-prone community, they clear clogged waterways filled with what others have thrown away, placing their health and safety at constant risk. Through quiet observation and routine labor, the documentary reveals how trash does not disappear, but returns as flooding, danger, and invisible work. The film reframes waste disposal as a shared responsibility rather than a distant problem.

Sarah Silva

Sarah Silva is a Manila-based student filmmaker currently pursuing a Bachelor of Multimedia Arts major in Film at the University of Makati. She began her artistic journey at Philippine Women’s University–Jose Abad Santos Memorial School, where she took the Arts and Design, Visual Arts Strand. She works across multiple roles as a director, production manager, and actress, bringing a collaborative and immersive approach to filmmaking that emphasizes both creative vision and team synergy. Her directing work gained recognition through the documentary Cutting Classes, where she was awarded Best Director and led her team to multiple wins, including 1st Place, Best Documentary Film, Best Editing, and the Griot Award for Storytelling. As a performer, she also appeared in Kahit Sobra, further expanding her experience in front of the camera. Beyond filmmaking, she is actively involved in event production, working as a live camera operator and photographer for both university-wide and external events, reflecting her versatility and strong engagement in visual storytelling across different platforms.
