Logline: Across the busy streets and tucked-away corners of Cebu, Snafu follows the story of a young graffiti artist whose tags speak of freedom, mortality, and creative defiance in a city that often looks away.

Synopsis: In the busy streets and hidden corners of Cebu, Snafu leaves behind questions, truths, and a vivid kind of resistance. Set against the backdrop of urban neglect, the artist’s presence insists on being seen. By bringing us into the street art scene, Snafu captures the tension between visibility and erasure, between claiming space and being silenced. Blurring the lines between vandalism and expression, the film explores how a single mark can speak of freedom, dissent, and the urgent need to be remembered. It confronts the politics of space and expression in a city that polices what it doesn't understand. As paint fades and walls are wiped clean, the documentary captures a subtle rebellion, one that asks: who gets to leave a mark, and who gets erased?

Xydel Vie Saldaña

Xydel Vie Saldaña is a Cebuano filmmaker and communication student from the University of the Philippines Cebu. She is a curious storyteller, always driven by the absurdity of life and a fascination for the humanities. Her works often explore quiet struggles, emotion, defiance, and human-interest stories—told through an intimate, symbolic, and grounded lens. This grounding in place and people drives their passion toward sentimental and mass-oriented films that honor authenticity and embrace people-first storytelling.
