Logline: When a group of elementary students chose to tell a local folklore Alamat ng Isdang Kulay Bahaghari for a stage play, their curiosity brought them investigating the river to search for the infamous fish, only to discover that the folklore is not what they were taught of.
Synopsis: The serenity of Sitio Mapayapa was believed to be the result of leaving the Labak River untouched for this is where the rainbow fish inhabits. According to the infamous folklore Alamat ng Isdang Kulay Bahaghari (The Tale of a Rainbow Fish), the fish brings a curse to whoever sees it. One will be pulled into the water, drowned, and will carry a contagious disease after leaving the river. A group of elementary students, Mabel, 9, Nhemo, 10, and Jissa, 9 decided to narrate the story for a stage play that brought them searching for the cursed fish. Only to find Yoyot, 9, in the river. Yoyot considers Labak River his world, this is where he freed his reality.

A Communication graduate from the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, his storytelling blends narrative depth with cultural sensitivity—spanning from documentary to folklore-inspired fiction. His short films, including Kumusta si 'La?, Dalawampu’t Walong Baitang, and Alamat ng Isdang Kulay Bahaghari, have been recognized by platforms such as the Catholic Mass Media Awards, FILMayer: A PLM Festival of Movies, Cinema Primera Regional Film Festival, Pelikultura: The Calabarzon Film Festival, and Sinepyu.
