Minnesota Flores
Minnesota Flores is a Grade 12 Visual Arts major at the Philippines High School for the Arts. The scholarship gifted her with valuable mentorships from established artists such as Gerry Leonardo, Karen Ocampo-Flores, Noel Soler Cuizon, and Raymond Red, among others. Minnesota is a multi-awarded painter, having coveted the National Awards in Cocolife Painting Competition (2019) and the Philippine Winner in the 2021 Japan International Foundation for Art & Culture (IFAC). Her short films Ang Pangungumpisal and Daligmata Delivers One Last Time recently competed in the CCP Awards for Alternative Film and Video, and the CineMapua International Student Film Festival where she brought home the Best Screenplay and Best Production Design awards. Daligmata Delivers One Last Time was cited as one of the best Filipino films of 2022 in an article in cnnphilippines.com.
